SUMMER ON SCREEN
MCT’s Youth Film Program
Classes June 9–27, 2025
MCT is focusing its lens on a completely different side of theater this summer! This brand-new, three-week program for youths aged 12-20 will focus on the art of filmmaking and acting for the camera. Students will not only learn the craft of filmmaking but also apply their knowledge as they create their film, which will be screened for the public this summer!
Classes include acting for film, filming techniques (for standard and smartphone platforms), sound and lighting equipment use, voice work, and much more. In partnership with Vallecito Unified School District, this program strives to support local families by providing a resource for their children to pursue a fun and professional appreciation of the performing arts on every level.
