Finalists Announced: September 2025

• Our panel of judges is busy selecting three plays to come to life as staged reading!

• Playwrights whose plays are selected as finalists will be notified and will be announced publicly in September.

• A $100 stipend is awarded to each finalist playwright.

Staged Readings: October 1, 8, and 15, 2025

• Stage readings of the finalist scripts are slated for October 1, 8, and 15, 2025.

• Directors, performers, and technicians for the readings are drawn entirely from a pool of local, professional artists.

• After each reading, the audience provides real-time feedback to help us crown a winner.

Winner Announced: November 1, 2025

• A winning script will be selected from the finalists.

• The winning script will be workshopped and produced as a mainstage production in MCT’s 2026 Season!
