JACOB MARLEY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL

By Tom Mula
November 29 - December 22

“Marley was dead, to begin with…” —and what happens to Ebenezer Scrooge’s mean, sour, pruney old business partner after that? Chained and shackled, Marley is condemned to a hellish eternity. He’s even given his own private tormentor: a malicious little hell-sprite who thoroughly enjoys his work. Desperate, Marley accepts his one chance to free himself: To escape his own chains, he must first redeem Scrooge. So begins a journey of laughter and terror, redemption and renewal, during which Scrooge’s heart, indeed, is opened; but not before Marley—in this irreverent, funny and deeply moving story—discovers his own.

A Sign You Were Alive

by Rebecca Kane October 11 - November 3, 2024
Winner of the 2023 Quill to Act new play festival.
A father, James, desperately seeks supplies and knowledge for his daughter, Chelsea, who’s hiding in her bedroom after a traumatic incident that seems to be linked to a mysterious illness, possibly a pandemic, and has turned Chelsea into a vampire. Internet research is getting James nowhere, and he wants to make sure his daughter doesn’t feel the need to isolate for his protection, so they tackle the issue by marathoning as many vampire movies as possible to get an idea of how their lives will need to change. As they watch movies, they share opinions, bicker, shout, and bond over the dire circumstances and establish a stronger connection than ever – even as the threat of mortality looms for one of them in unexpected ways.
Disclaimer: “A Sign You Were Alive” contains strong language, brief gore, a smoke effect, a strobe effect, supernatural themes, and excessive pop-culture vampire references.
